This cinnamon apple spice quinoa is my favorite breakfast when craving something warm in the morning!
Ingredients: Serves one
1/4 cup quinoa
1 tablespoon Ceylon cinnamon
1/2 cup fat free milk or almond milk
1 apple
1/4 cup of slivered walnuts or almonds
1/4 cup cranberry or raisins (optional)
1 pear or banana (optional)
Make it:
Bring 1/2 cup of water to boil. Add rinsed quinoa and let simmer for 10 minutes. Add sliced apple and microwave for one minute. Add cinnamon, fruit toppings and milk and serve warm.
