Flower School

Here are some of the photos I took at Flower School in Paris! Along with a mini how-to...

Beautiful Macaroons!
This was my favorite bouquet! Our teacher made these bouquets for a Chanel party and showed us how to make them. To make the orchid tie, simply wrap the stem of the orchid with one half of a wire and wrap the other half of the wire around the bouquet. Then tie the bouquet half way down with grass to cover the wire and make it look more natural and effortless.

Using green flower foam called oasis can make it easy to make any shape of flower arrangement you want!

This arrangement was done with carrots taped around a square block of oasis.

This arrangement was called the modern bouquet. This type of bouquet can be done in minutes as long as you place the flowers and plants where they "want" to be placed. Be sure to lay the flowers so that they are facing out not in.
I loved this candle idea! This was the most fun to make. We just took a glass candle holder and wrapped double stick tape all the way around. Then using flower petals, ivy, and a little glue, we strategically placed each piece while working our way down. When finished, just put a mini candle inside and watch the light shine through. This arrangement would be beautiful for a dinner party centerpiece, but they dont last very long so be sure to make them the day of your special event!
This was the first bouquet we learned how to make! This was done by using the criss cross technique where you turn the bouquet and cross over the stems each time you add a flower.
