Joey says choosing a nail color is like choosing makeup!  You have to pick what is right for your skin tone!  He suggests using bright bold colors on mediums to dark tones to bring out the color in the skin and lighter for fair skin tones.  He painted this funny face pink on my nails today!

KS: How should our nails be shaped with the bright colors that are in for spring?
JF: Nails that look good with bright colors on the hands or toes, are nail beds that are long and barely over the free edge. Nails that are shorter would look good in bright colors as long as you take the nails edges in some to give them a more contour shape.

KS: What can we do to keep our nails moisturized at home?
JF: As you know, Daily wear and tear on your nails can cause dry brittle nails. Using a good cuticle oil such as Avoplex by O.P.I. or Sally Hansen's nail and cuticle oil is best for daily moisture and healthier looking nails.  Frédéric Fekkai Shea Butter cream is also a favorite for hands.

KS: We all want to know, should nails and toes match?
JF: Matching nail colors for both hands and feet are still in for most women today. However, if you would like to know more about pairing colors, stop by the Chanel boutique here in highland park village and ask for Debra on What colors she recommends putting together as they release colors as pairs. but always remember to go darker on the feet and lighter on the hands on colors of the same family.
